2010 Pacific Northwest Corgi Picnic
What a great turnout!
We figure over 50 people as perhaps as many dogs had a great time at this
years picinic. We had our highest Cardi-count ever (6 9!) as well as our usual
not-a-Corgi representatives.
I was a little too busy manning the barbecue, but I was able to take a few photos - here's the primary venue at roughly the peak of the afternoon:
I've got just a couple more venue pictures up on Flickr.
More Photos:
- Carl Lim's Pictures on Picasa, should be visible to all.
- Kathleen Pehl's photos on "Cassie’s Ruminations" blog

The auction, you ask?
$2,310.
That's $1,310 on site (plus some who weren't able to make it but did designate for the event) plus the $1,000 match.
Even without the match it was a record setting day for the Pacific Northwest. Thanks to everyone who came and donated and bid and had fun.
It was a great time!

It's the "as official as it gets" Pacific Northwest Corgi Picnic, including a silent auction to benefit Corgi Aid.
AUCTION info:
- Items to Donate? - contact Jean Clements-Macak (jcmacak at mac.com) who has once again graciously offered to coordinate the auction.
- Bring Money - donations are nice, but the point is to raise money, and that means bidding on and purchasing those donated items at the picnic. Please come prepared to be generous!
If you've not experienced a PNW picnic or one of our gatherings in recent years, we have about an acre of fenced yard that turns out to be pretty much perfect for letting the dogs (and occasionally hoomans) run off a little steam.
This year our old deck has been replaced by a brand-new patio! One side-effect is that the bench seating that we used to have is no longer present. While we do have a few more chairs to compensate it's not quite the same; you might consider bringing a folding chair of your own if you have one, just in case.
All are welcome: corgis, part corgis and NAC (not-a-corgi) friends. The rule is simple: all MUST be well behaved, and play well with others - this applies to both canine and hoomans alike.
We will provide beverages. You're welcome to bring a snack, dish or side-dish to share, but do please be prepared to take leftovers with you, as we frequently have more than needed.
PLEASE RSVP by 7/28 so we know how big a Costco run to
make.
(It looks like our weather may be shaping up to actually have some summer ... in July! What a concept!)
